Book Review: To Honor and Trust

Title: To Honor and Trust
Authors: Tracie Peterson and Judith Miller
Publisher: Bethany House Publishers
Release Date: January 1, 2013

Callie Deboyer had grown up in privilege only to soon discover herself forced to work for a living. Mr. and Mrs. Bridgeport, friends of Callie’s late grandmother, offer her a position as a tutor for their three children which entails some privileges of her former life including attending parties and teas while spending the summer at the resort of Bridal Veil Island in Georgia. Callie struggles with whether or not she should join her missionary parents in Africa and how to move on from the betrayal of her fiancĂ© marrying someone else.

To Honor and Trust touches upon a very real issues that many young women deal with (though perhaps not at once): their calling and the emotional impact of a broken engagement. The book also factors in a bit of mystery which does help to keep the storyline moving along. Is this the best book I have read by Tracie Peterson or Judith Miller? Probably not but fans of both authors will want to check out this book and the Bridal Veil Island series for a good, light read with a Gospel message.

To Honor and Trust is available in paperback and ebook format at Amazon.com, Christianbook.com and Barnes and Noble.
